Stargaze marketplace: offers and recorded sales
Best Offer shows the highest bid displayed for a collection in Stargaze's NFT marketplace. Comparing this bid with the floor price and recorded activity separates buyer interest, seller asking prices, and completed sales.
The marketplace and its collections run as CosmWasm contracts on Cosmos Hub, documented in the Hub Unit's October 22, 2026 update. Collection tables show ATOM quotes alongside USD equivalents.
Collection quotes and individual NFTs
Floor Price is the lowest listed asking price within a collection. Other items in that collection can have higher asking prices. A collection's Best Offer does not, by itself, establish that every NFT can be sold into that bid; the individual offer's scope and terms matter.
An absent Floor Price or Best Offer means the table supplies no quote for that field. It does not establish a price of zero.
Recorded activity has a time window
Sales is the recorded sale count, while Volume is the aggregate traded value for the displayed period. A 1D column and a 30D column cover different windows. Comparisons need matching periods and currencies, including when comparing older STARS-denominated records with ATOM-denominated records.
A collection can display a floor and bid with no sale recorded during the selected day. Conversely, recorded sales can remain in the period's totals when no current asking price or bid is displayed.
Hypothetical collection quotes and sale average
The average recorded sale in this hypothetical collection is above its displayed Best Offer. Assume these hypothetical inputs for one collection snapshot, with Sales and Volume covering the same 1D period: Sales: 6; Volume: 47.52 ATOM; Best Offer: 6.85 ATOM; Floor Price: 10.42 ATOM.
Average recorded sale value:
47.52 ATOM / 6 sales = 7.92 ATOM per sale
. The 7.92 ATOM average lies above the 6.85 ATOM bid and below the 10.42 ATOM asking floor. It describes the recorded sales as a group, without establishing a price available for a particular NFT.
The calculation requires a positive sales count and volume covering those same sales in the same currency. Changing the volume or sale count changes the average in this example. A higher Best Offer changes the quote comparison while leaving those earlier sales unchanged.
Listed supply and holder counts
- For Sale
- The listed NFT count and its share of the collection describe advertised supply.
- Owners
- The reported holder count shows how many holders the collection has; it does not count active bidders.
These fields add context to Sales and Volume. A small listed share alone does not establish strong demand, and many holders do not establish frequent trading.
Profile visibility and tradeability
Stargaze's migration plan distinguishes profile visibility from tradeability for collections in the holder-claim phase. Those collections can appear in profiles, but their NFTs are not tradeable on Cosmos Hub until brought on-chain there. A holder claim carries a small gas fee; creators can instead activate an entire collection through Stargaze Studio. ICS721-bridged collections require separate coordination and may move to their home chain or another chain based on the creator's preference. A missing quote alone does not identify a collection's migration state.
Transactions through Stargaze require a third-party wallet. Stargaze's Terms of Service, updated March 18, 2026, state that the service has no custody of wallet contents and cannot retrieve or transfer them.
